| Bio: | I'm a fountain of blood in the shape of a 27-year-old woman living in the heart of Minneapolis with my adored husband and lovely cats. Currently, I am enchanted with homemade berry smoothies, decorating our apartment, She & Him, Cherry Pie Larabars, peel-off masques, purple pens with fountain nibs, listening to animal rights podcasts while playing WoW, and reading about shamanism.
I want to learn how to speak Spanish, play Chopin on the piano, belly dance, play tennis, salsa dance and run a 5K. I have the luxury of eating a vegan diet, which means I don't consume animal products of any kind. The world seems so violent, painful and complex and it feels awesome to reduce my tacit participation. I'm a bit of a luddite and don't own a microwave, cellphone, or a car. I do reiki and read thousands of books and draw pictures of strange reptiles. I am learning how to be an alchemist in the kitchen and make exotic and beautiful foods. Hint: turmeric turns many things into gold.
I work at non-profit health insurance company (sounds like an oxymoron, I know) which I like because it's a gigantic sudoku puzzle that keeps me on my toes. Eventually, I would like to get my degree in somatic psychology and open a holistic group home with my husband and sister. I am involved in a radical peer-supported mental health group which has been amazing and cathartic. Lately I spend too much time on the internets and miss living in the country. |
